A MAN who has been arrested on suspicion of murder faces another day of police questioning as the investigation into who killed Sammy Haughton continues.
The 36-year-old local man, who was arrested on Tuesday, is still being questioned by detectives who have appealed for the community to come forward with information.
The man was arrested after Sammy, 29, was found stabbed in a garden on Colley Crescent, Kendray, Barnsley at about 2am on December 6. He was treated by paramedics, but died a short time later at the scene.
A spokesman said: "South Yorkshire Police are continuing with house-to-house enquiries and forensic examinations as part of the investigation into establishing the circumstances of Sammy’s death.
"Police renew the appeal for anyone with information about this murder to please call 101 quoting incident number 48 of 6 December."
