TWO men have been issued with fines from police after hurling abuse at Stagecoach bus drivers who chose to work on a strike day.

Stagecoach drivers were involved in a second round of strikes last weekend but the company brought in 100 managers and drivers from other areas to cover the bus services.

On Friday, two men were issued with £80 fines for shouting abuse at the drivers who chose to work.

Inspector Julie Mitchell said on her Facebook page: "SYP supports peaceful picketing. Peaceful does not mean shouting abuse at those who choose to work."
