BARNSLEY manager David Flitcroft was disappointed after his side lost to an injury time goal at Blackpool on Saturday.

The Reds, who dominated for large parts of the game, cruelly fell behind with a Scott Wiseman own goal. The defender could only watch as his failed clearance from a deep throw-in bounced across the line off the crossbar.

"I’m disappointed in the manner we lost it after we defended set-pieces so well for 93 minutes," said a despondent Flicker.

"It’s a tough one to swallow because I thought we deserved a point, but some of our counter-attacks weren’t good enough as we didn’t have a cutting edge.

"It’s a horrible way to lose a game."

The search for a goalscorer continues for Flitcroft, who admits two additions would be ideal.

"We need a finisher. It’s been manic behind the scenes," he added.
