A PENSIONER has been left stunned after being quoted more than £100,000 to renew his 11-year-old truck's insurance.
Keith Beverley was told it would cost him £100,029 to insure his Toyota Dyna - which is valued at just £3,000.
The 69-year-old only does about 300 miles per year in it, using the vehicle for odd jobs and nipping down to Worsbrough reservoir with his dog.
"I was shocked, obviously there was no way I was going to pay it," said Keith.
Perhaps not surprisingly, Keith has since decided to go with a quote of £260.
He was given the chance to pay off the figure monthly, with a deposit of of around £15,000 and nine payments of £10,700.
