A NINE-YEAR-OLD girl has been growing her hair for four years - and decided to have it cut off for charity.

Shauna Lee Morris, of Darfield, decided she wanted to donate her hair to children undergoing treatment for cancer when she saw a feature on another little girl doing the same on television.

Shauna goes to the same school as Darcy Burke, a five-year-old diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour last month.

She's also raised £150 in sponsorship money for Darcy's Days - a campaign to make Darcy's remaining 12-15 months the best of her life.
