A TEENAGER who threw a wheelie bin at a bus in a frenzy has been sentenced.

Connor Luke Dokic, 18, who smashed the window of the bus has been ordered to complete 150 hours of unpaid work.

He had been in a fight with his brother and lost his temper, Barnsley Magistrates' Court was told.

David Ward, prosecuting, said Dokic, of Midland Road, Royston, did not realise the bus was coming up behind him.

Mr Ward said Dokic's lips were bleeding after he was hit by his brother.

Philip Howard, defending, said it was bad luck that the wheelie bin hit the bus.

Mr Howard added: "Mr Dokic lost his temper and, without thinking, got hold of the wheelie bin in a frenzy and threw it into the road.

"He had been in an argument in the street with his brother. The dispute turned into a fight and Mr Dokic was hit in the mouth."

Dokic admitted criminal damage and was ordered to pay £120 in compensation and a £60 victim surcharge.
