A BARNSLEY College student won a special award for most promising vocalist in the 67th Co-operative Youth Music and Drama Festival.
Hannah Coles, 17, was presented with the Keresforth Hall Vase by Barnsley author and solicitor Stephen Smith.
Hannah studies at the college and also at The Real Music Centre in Wombwell, which put in its own spectacular festival performance.
The festival took place at Emmanuel Methodist Church in Barnsley and all winners performed in the finale.
The Real Music Centre's principal tutor Helen Ingham, said: "In the current climate when young people are given such bad publicity it fills me with pride to see the talented and hardworking students of Real Music Centre achieve such wonderful results.
"They're a credit to themselves, their parents and those of us who are privileged to teach them."
Over 100 young musicians and drama fans took part in the festival, competing in individual and group classes.
