A MAN who turned 100 on Friday still does his exercises three times a day.

Vin Robinson used to jump on his 'Pedal and Pop' moped he would put in the legwork climbing hills to get the job done.

"They all asked me to come back again and that was a feeling that gave me great pleasure," Vin said.

Vin, originally from Batley in West Yorkshire, lived in Hemsworth before moving to Grimethorpe and then the Michael's Estate in the village.

He was married to his wife Winifred, who died in 2010.

He celebrated his 100th birthday with a cake and a card from the Queen at Holly Tree Lodge care home where he is now a resident.

But despite reaching 100, Vin still finds time to do his exercises three times a day.

"I've done them for 20 years at least," he said.
