AFTER all the heavy snow and bitterly cold weather, spring has finally arrived at Daisy Hill Farm in Millhouse.

The dramatic change in weather's been welcomed by Andrew and Chris Howe, who have lost a number of sheep due to the severe conditions.

Andrew said: "It has been a tough and distressing time.

"It was heart-breaking to discover countless sheep buried under several feet of drifting snow."

The Howes are unsure exactly how many of their flock were lost, but fortunately the warmer weather means they are now busy with lambing.

"We have our hands full", said Andrew. "We are glad the bad winter is over."
