A ROAD in Cudworth was closed off for more than three hours as a woman had to be airlifted to hospital after falling from an upstairs window of a house.

Emergency services were called at around 12.45pm on April 11 to an address on George Street.

Part of Pontefract Road was close to the junction with Charles Street.

A 56-year-old woman was taken by air ambulance to Northern General Hospital in Sheffield.

Police said she was in a stable but serious condition and there were no suspicious circumstances.
