BARNSLEY were denied a vital three points last night by a last-gasp equaliser.

Derby County's Paul Coutts brought the visitors level with no time to spare - and the result kept the Reds in 23rd place in the Championship table.

After the visitors had enjoyed the majority of the possession in the first-half, it was Barnsley who broke the deadlock just after the interval with Chris O'Grady volleying in a cross from Andrai Jones, who made his debut for the Reds and impressed.

"The players are feeling the pressure of the situation, there's no doubt about it," said Barnsley manager David Flitcroft. "It was a brave performance, but we didn't get the result we wanted."

Next up for Barnsley in their quest to avoid relegation is another tough trip to promotion-chasing Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
