STEPHEN Foster's last-gasp leveller gave Barnsley another crucial point in their relegation battle.
Championship leaders Cardiff looked set to take another step towards the Premier League after Ben Turner put them ahead just before the hour.
The visitors were largely dominated by the table-toppers, and failed to register a shot on target in the first-half.
A frantic end to the game saw the referee add on eight minutes and Stephen Foster grabbed Barnsley's equaliser in the 97th minute.
Another crucial away point puts the Reds two points above the relegation zone, with two vital home games coming up.
"That is more than a point for us," said David Flitcroft. "To fit this game into our programme after the game against Crystal Palace and after Easter week, it was asking a lot of this group. This gives us real momentum."
