A TELEPHONE helpline has been launched for patients who have undergone surgery for colorectal cancer.
Discharged patients in Barnsley will be offered a series of telephone consultations with nurses.
The pilot has been provided by South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and is due to end in 2014.
South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Trust expects the pilot project will give cancer survivors an improved life, health and help them to be more independent.
The Barnsley care navigation service is available to help anyone with a long-term condition or ongoing illness.
