A PENSIONER had a lucky escape after the roof of a building collapsed under the weight of snow.
The man, thought to be in his late 60s, was standing at the bus stop on Sheffield Road outside the Golden Dragon takeaway.
It's thought snow on the roof slipped on to the guttering and caused the front of the roof to collapse.
Russell Bennett, 39, owner of Bennett's Motorcycles next door, said: "It came down with a right bang. What's happened is the weight of the snow has caused the front of the roof to collapse. There was a chap stood at the bus stop who was lucky he wasn't stood a bit further back."
