A DEARNE ALC student has made it through to a worldwide street dance final in Glasgow.

Jade Bennett, 13, and her dance group, Rhythmic Jokers, will be up against acts from around the world in the UDO World Street Dance Championships in August.

"I think we have a chance of winning because of Pierre, our choreographer, who is amazing," said Jade.

The annual competition showcases talent from more than 30 countries in search for young street dancers.

Jade's mum, Claire, admits there are already a number of dance groups around, but believes the Rhythmic Jokers are in a league of their own.

"I feel so proud of them and Jade is over the moon," she said.
