OFSTED has labelled Gawber Primary School as 'outstanding' in its latest report.

Last month's inspection saw the school better its last one, and saw it promoted from 'good' to 'outstanding' - the highest level of award from Ofsted.

"Since the last report, the school's gone from strength to strength," it stated. "Parents support the pupils' view that the school keeps getting better every year."

The school's attendance is above average, and the report emphasised its high teaching standard.

"Teaching is typically outstanding and never less than good," it said.

"Teachers' subject knowledge is outstanding and they know how to make learning fun, relevant and exciting."
