A DOG show regular scooped an award at Crufts for the fourth consecutive year - setting a new record.

Simon Tucker, 41, and his 14-month-old black Labrador Zeus beat off competition from 34 other entries to win the gamekeepers class.

This year's success makes Simon the first owner to win the class four times, following on from previous wins with two of his other dogs Sam and Denzel.

"I seem to have this knack of producing dogs," said Simon. "It's quite bizarre really - I don't buy them as show dogs, I research pedigree and make sure they're from the best working stock possible."

Simon said he will definitely be returning to the competition next year but will not be over-confident, despite his track record.

He has also signed a one-year deal with dog food company Dodson and Horrell on the back of his triumph.
