THE FAMILY of Joy Billam - the Goldthorpe woman who was found strangled to death in the boot of her car - have spoke out for the first time since the incident.

Forty-six-year-old Joy's body was found in the boot of her purple Ford Fiesta Fusion, which was parked on Doncaster Road, Goldthorpe near to the junction with the A635 at around midday on Saturday 1 October.

Her son Tony Billam said: "Me and my brother Lee are totally devastated after losing our mum in the way we did.

"She meant the world to us and we will never be the same again. She was a loving and fun person to be with and a great Nanna to her three grandchildren whom she adored. Our lives will never be the same again, we love and and miss her very much."

Two people have been charged in connection with the murder of Joy - Raymond Billam, from Guildford Road, Doncaster, has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Sheffield Crown Court next Tuesday.

A 16-year-old has also been charged with assisting offenders in connection with the murder.
