A FATHER and son raised almost £700 for a children's hospice by completing the Brighton half marathon.

Daniel Addy, 25, from Worsbrough, and his dad Ian, 47, of Bolton-on-Dearne, both finished the run in their target of under two hours.

Daniel came in at one hour, 58 minutes and Ian in one hour, 59.

The money raised through sponsorship will go to Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice.

Daniel said: "My dad wanted to prove to himself that he could do it and I wanted to go back to Brighton as I went to university there studying sports journalism. It's the first time I've been back since I graduated in 2011."
