DAN Jarvis is another MP who has criticised David Cameron's decision to go ahead with so-called Bedroom Tax.
The latest figures from the National Housing Federation estimate that in Dan's Barnsley Central constituency, 1,789 people will be affected by the tax.
He's called these figures “deeply unfair” - particularly when the Prime Minister is giving thousands of millionaires a tax cut of £100,000 a year.
“The Bedroom Tax is a totally unacceptable policy and will be hitting working people and the vulnerable in Barnsley," he said.
Two-thirds of the households set to be affected nationally are home to someone with a disability and their carers, families of serving soldiers and foster families helping children in need of a home.
“These measures are completely unfair and come at a time when families are already struggling to make ends meet," the MP added. "It’s another example of how the government is out of touch with ordinary people.”
