MORE than 2,500 volunteering hours have been put into tidying villages which border the centre of Barnsley.
According to a Central Area Council report, Dodworth, Kingstone, Stairfoot and Worsbrough wards have all received spruce-ups from the organisation’s 333-strong team of volunteers.
Clean-up days from Monday to Friday are divided up into respective wards, with 30 taking place in Central between April and June, 22 in Dodworth, 31 in Kingstone, 22 in Stairfoot and 38 in Worsbrough.
