THE South Yorkshire Motor Neurone Disease Association were presented with funding from a community group this week.
The Heaven and Ale ‘Grabby Grannies’ and the ‘Top O’ Doderth Bottom’ clubs meet weekly in a bid to raise funds for charity.
Combined, they have raised more than £37,000 for Barnsley Hospice. A further £2,438 has also been raised for Weston Park, BIADS and the Better Lives charities from the events.
This week, member Judy Holling presented the Motor Neurone Disease Association’s vice-chair Julie Ward with a total of £630.
