ADVICE has been given to motorists who were caught breaking the limit on a notorious stretch of road.
Doncaster Road’s so-called ‘Ardsley Hill’ stretch saw police carry out an anti-speeding operation last month.
The road – which had its speed camera removed despite local opposition – has had a series of police operations since.
A spokesperson said: “Speeding checks are being completed on a regular basis by our team.
“The latest speeding check conducted was on July 3 where our team stood with the hand-held laser speed device.
“The majority of drivers have been found within the speed limit but where they have not a mixture of advice and enforcement has been used.
“Information passed to us from the community is also being passed to the local speed camera partnership.”
