PCSO Shaun McDermott of Dearne Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “This is the first of many scheduled operations throughout the summer to tackle the issue of off-road bikes being ridden in the area.
“During the operation South Yorkshire Police air support played a pivotal role in the seizure of one of the bikes found, therefore we will continue to use this facility when possible.
“We understand that the issue of off-road bikes being ridden in the area causes concern for our residents therefore we will not tolerate this type of antisocial behaviour and will continue to tackle the issue through increased patrols and operation such as this one.”
