MORE gritting has been taking place across the borough's roads as the snow fall starts in Barnsley again.

The council has announced a plan for the weekend - saying that waste collection teams will work tomorrow as normal, having shared the Saturday bin collection routes with Highways so they can assist with gritting the routes.

Neighbourhood Services have recruited staff to clear footpaths and spread grit which has been going on today and the areas allocated as a priority and more will come in tomorrow for the shopping areas in the town centre.

The town centre car parks will also be cleared on Saturday morning.

This page is where we will be updating what we know throughout about anything affecting the borough caused by snow - so keep checking back.
