A CONTESTANT from the BBC TV show The Apprentice is to give Barnsley College students a master-class in how to succeed in business.
Leon Doyle, who got through to the eighth round of this year’s series will launch a new enterprise project at Barnsley College today.
The Enterprise Zone is a feature of Barnsley’s £50m new campus development - and anyone who has a business idea will be able to access a range of services from the College, including one-to-one mentoring as well as advice sessions and seminars.
The project’s initial target is to create 18 new businesses and help create 29 new jobs by September 2013. As part of the launch, Leon will talk about his entrepreneurial experience and share business ideas with students.
Dave Harding, Barnsley College Vice Principal, said: “Inspiring young people to develop entrepreneurial skills is something we take very seriously at Barnsley College, and we are thrilled to welcome Leon to talk about his own experiences.”
