DETECTIVES cordoned off an area of woodland at Hoyle Mill - after recieving a tip that a human body part had been discovered.

CID officers taped off an area of woodland on the edge of the Dearne Valley Park after receiving information that a human fetus had been dumped there.

They were on scene, near the Spice of India, at around 1.30pm on Tuesday.

A spokesman said: "We were responding to claims that some kind of human body part or fetus had been found there.

"Officers attended and it turned out to be some kind of animal. The case is now closed."
