ISN’T it wonderful when a young person is recognised for the great things they are doing?

If you know a young person who is doing something that deserves recognition, why not nominate them for a Young Champions award?

Chronicle editor Andrew Harrod said: “These awards have been remarkable over the last two years and there is a wealth of young people in Barnsley who are a credit to our town.

“I’m forever blown away by the exceptional achievements and efforts of some of the younger members of our community who have already made their mark on society and I look forward to celebrating this later on this year.

“We are intentionally keeping the nomination process as simple as possible so if you know someone worthy of recognition, just visit the Barnsley Chronicle website or send an email to abk@barnsley-chronicle.co.uk and tell us their name, a phone number for the young person or a parent or guardian, and a bit of detail about why they deserve to be nominated – leave the rest to us.

“Over the next few months, we’ll be showcasing the achievements of our young people and deciding who our worthy winners will be.”
