TWO men were arrested after they failed to stop for police, resulting in a chase.
At 3.30pm on Monday, a green Land Rover failed to stop for police on Royston Lane, Royston.
A police pursuit followed during which the two occupants abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot.
One man was arrested close to the scene, with the second suspect being detained a few hours later.
High Street Royston was closed between Church Street and Redwood Avenue while police and a fire crew from Cudworth recovered the vehicle, which had overheated and set fire in the engine compartment.
