A LOCAL loaf that's made using local flour and beer is being created at Worsbrough.
Unbleached white flour milled at Worsbrough and a stout from Two Roses microbrewery at Darton is being used by bakers at Rob Royd Farm Shop in Worsbrough for the new Barnsley loaf.
Terry Lee, miller at Worsbrough Mill, said: “This is a product we have been longing to create for Barnsley. Over the past years we have had many different types of wheat coming through the mill but none have really given us the quality we have been looking for.“
Worsbrough Mill is a 17th century water-powered corn mill which has been producing stone ground flour since 1625.
