Help Comedian Mark Steel Write Barnsley’s Comedy Sketch

AWARD-winning comedian Mark Steel is bring his unusual comedy show to Barnsley on Friday – and he’s asked you to provide inspiration.

The Mark Steel’s In Town live show features material shedding light on the quirkiness and interesting aspects of every town and city he visits, making each show unique.

He spoke to We Are Barnsley journalist Nicky ahead of the show and said he won’t only be visiting Barnsley ‘undercover’ to get some inspiration, but will also write in some funny stories that are provided by the WABers.

Mark said: “I will be coming to Barnsley for a day so if anyone has got anything they think is worth me having a look at or any funny comments they might have heard, you can tweet me @mrmarksteel.

“I think comedy is only going to go wrong if you are lazy – if you go on with the same silly old joke, saying that you are all on the dole and if you can’t try any harder than that then you deserve to incur the wrath of the local people.”
