i remember the queen coming to barnsley in the 70's and i was stood waiting for her to come with mi mum and when i looked round my mum had fainted cause it was too warm - so i never got to see her lol

i planted a tree for the jubilee next to the old grimes garage i thought i was dead important cos calender was there i was in the brownies and i,m pleaed to say my tree is still there thats my claim to fame

I too remember the Queen comming , the Royal Train was in the sidings by our row of house's on Deputy row and when she left Barnsley all the school children was on the opposite side of the raod to our house a great view
