Book Recycling
People are being urged to waste less and support Barnsley Library.
NATIONAL Recycling Week runs from Monday, 21 to Sunday 27 June this year and libraries throughout the borough are taking the opportunity to highlight their “green” offer.
Libraries are the ultimate recycler of reading material and also stock CDs, DVDs and titles in audio format. Many offer copies of newspapers and magazines including back issues.
The theme for this year’s promotion is “Let’s Waste Less” and Barnsley’s libraries are running a week-long prize quiz with a recycling theme.
Coun Roy Miller, Cabinet Spokesperson, Customer and Neighbourhood Services, said “We are all aware that we should recycle more and hopefully this fun quiz in our libraries will draw attention to this need.”
