A charity fun run where entrants have to dress up as Santa is to be held on Nov 29.
Barnsley Premier Leisure has organised the event to raise money for the Laura Crane Trust - a charity that supports young people who have been diagnosed with cancer.
Participants are being asked to dress up in Santa outfits and run one mile around the athletics track at Dorothy Hyman Stadium.
Sarah Hancock, regional events and community fundraiser for the Laura Crane Trust, said: “We’re really excited about this event, which is set to be fun for all the family. All the money that is raised will go towards buying presents for young children who have to spend Christmas Day in hospital."
Santa registration will open at 10am on November 29, with the warm up starting at 11am. There is a £10 entrance fee which includes the Santa costume which participants can keep.
