Bomfest Announce Last Minute Reschedule
Thursday July 19 2012
THE POPULAR local music festival Bomfest has been rescheduled to September, We Are Barnsley can reveal.
In a statement release online last night, the event organisers said that they had been forced to cancel the July date (planned for next weekend) and move it to September 22.
A spokesman said: "We are very disapointed to have to deliver this news but have decided that due to the circumstances that surround us we are left with no choice but to change the date.
"We have been forced to reschedule the event due to the council not being able to hand over the event site fit for purpose.
"The events manager will be having a meeting with the leader of the council to express disappointment and concern but it looks like there wont be ample time to get the site sorted."
Tickets and camping bookings for the July date will be valid on September 22.
