Voters Urged To Register Online To Save Cash
Friday July 13 2012
BARNSLEY voters are being urged to register online to save the council money.
Electoral registration forms have been sent out this month and Coun Jim Andrews says money could be saved if people would confirm the information by phone, internet or SMS instead of the post.
He said: "Whether we like it or not, money is now very tight for everyone; and that’s especially true for Barnsley Council.
"The cost will be pennies rather than pounds. And I think that is what everyone wants."
