1,000 Participants Set For Mayor's Parade

OVER 1,000 locals have signed up to take part in this year's Mayor's Parade which is on Saturday.
The procession starts at noon and includes over 32 groups which will walk, drive and dance through the town.
It will start from the upper County Way car park and take in Regent Street, Eldon Street, Mayday Green, Cheapside, New Street, Wellington Street, Peel Square, Market Hill, Church Street, back along Regent Street, finishing back in the upper County Way car park.
Most of the roads will be closed until 2pm. The parade starts at 12pm.
