Train Delays After Rail Investigation

TRAINS are expected to be delayed by around 30 minutes between Barnsley and Sheffield.

The routes affected - which include Leeds / Huddersfield, Barnsley, Wombwell, Elsecar, Meadowhall and Sheffield - are delayed as safety checks of the line are being made at Wombwell.

There are fears one of the rails are broken and engineers have been sent to investigate.

one at least has been cancelled stone waiting for it for half an hour before they told us! hope that i can get to work soon!

I work for network rail, id just like to apologise for any delays to your journeys, we are currently running projects to upgrade the track to prevent this happening in the future, once again, sorry for the inconvenience.
