Motorcyclist dies after Worsbrough collision

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a fatal collision on the A61 Upper Sheffield Road, Barnsley, in which a motorcyclist died.

At around 4.25pm on Wednesday 15 November, emergency services were called following reports of a collision involving a black Land Rover Freelander and a black and grey Moto Guzzi motorcycle, close to the junction with Knowle Road.

The motorcyclist, a 49-year-old man from Doncaster was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers are keen to trace the driver of a white van, believed to have been travelling along the same road shortly prior to the collision, as they believe he may have vital information.
