Reward Offered In Hit and Run Case

A REWARD of £1,000 has been offered in a bid to track down the person responsible for a fatal hit and run that happened in Goldthorpe last year.
Peter Topping, 56, was killed when someone drove over him, causing fatal injuries. It is thought Peter was lying in the carriageway Co-Operative Street in Goldthorpe when the incident happened on December 29 - but the driver failed to stop.
PS Andy Noble from South Yorkshire Police’s Serious Collision Unit said: “Peter Topping was a well known and well liked member of the local community and his family are finding it difficult coming to terms with his death. We hope that somebody will come forward with the information that will assist us."
People can give information by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 - information leading to an arrest and charge, could lead to a reward of up to £1,000.
