Boy In Hospital After Road Collision

POLICE are appealing for information about a road traffic accident that has left a boy in hospital with serious injuries.
The accident happened on Tuesday (May 22) at around 7pm on Grange Lane - the boy was crossing near the junction at Bank Street when he was struck by a silver BMW 320.
The boy, 11, suffered serious injuries, a fractured leg and head injury and is in Barnsley District General hospital.
Anyone with information should call police on 101 quoting incident number 1024 of the 22 May 2012.
