Youngster To Have Locks Chopped To Support Mum

Thursday January 29 2015

A SIX-YEAR-OLD girl is having her locks chopped for charity in support of her mum who lost her hair during treatment for leukaemia.

Emily Hallett, of West Street, Wombwell, has already raised around £600 in sponsorship.

She will be donating her locks and all the money raised to The Little Princess Trust, which provides real-hair wigs to children who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment.

Her father Mike, 43, said: "Emily has been badgering to have her hair cut for yonks and asked if she can give her hair to charity as she knows her mum has a wig herself."

Mike said Emily wanted to raise awareness of what her mum had gone through.

It will be the first time Emily has had her hair cut when she goes for the chop on February 3 at Moody Hair, Darfield.
