Smoking In Cars Carrying Kids Set To Be Banned

Monday January 26 2015

SMOKING in cars carrying children is set to become illegal.

Stricter measures are expected to come into force late this year in the biggest crackdown since the ban on smoking in public places in 2007.

A fine of £50 will be issued to people who smoke or who fail to prevent another person smoking.

MPs will vote on the plans before the election - and if they're passed the change in law will come into force on October 1.

What do you think? Is it a good idea? Have your say.
