From January 24, Stagecoach is making a number of customer-driven changes across its network in Barnsley.

Stagecoach’s new service, X20, will operate between Barnsley and Doncaster via Wombwell, Old Moor, Manvers, Mexborough, Low Road Conisbrough and Doncaster, running every hour on Mondays to Saturdays.

On the X19 (Barnsley to Robin Hood Airport), there will additional journeys from Doncaster to Barnsley at 9.54pm on Mondays to Fridays and at 6.54pm and 7.54pm on Saturdays.

In response to customers' requests, the 3.14pm Barnsley to Gilroyd and 3.33pm return journeys on service 22 will operate during term time as well as school holidays and the 3.47pm Barnsley to Gilroyd and 4.05pm return journeys will operate five minutes earlier.

There are also minor changes to the morning peak time journeys on service 32 (Barnsley to Cudworth) in response to feedback.

Service 29/30 (Barnsley to Pontefract/Upton) will see minor timetable changes and gain additional journeys on Mondays to Fridays leaving Regina Crescent, Brierley, at 6.56am, 7.28am and 7.58am.

Service 48 will change in the evenings and Sundays to operate between Upton and Pontefract only.

On service 265 (Sheffield to Barnsley), Stagecoach is making minor timetable changes to some early morning journeys.

Additionally, following a tender process by South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive, early morning journeys on Saturdays and late evening trips throughout the week will no longer be operated by Stagecoach.

Stagecoach is making minor timetable changes to improve punctuality and reliability on a number of other services including 1, 12, 26/X26, X27/X27, 28/X28, 43/44, 57, 59, 59A, 66, 67, 217/218, 219/219A, 220, 221, 222 and 228.

Paul Lynch, managing director of Stagecoach Yorkshire, said: "We're really pleased to be starting 2015 with the introduction new services, journeys and timetables to improve reliability and punctuality.
