Wednesday December 17 2014

CHRISTMAS bin collection information has been released.

Residents are asked to note that there are some changes to the collection of household waste and recycling over the festive period.

People due to have their bins collected on Thursday (December 25) should leave them out on Saturday, December 27.

For those with collections due on Friday (December 26), the date will be changed to Monday, December 29.

Collections for Thursday, January 1 have been moved to Saturday, January 3. Clinical waste collections will also be moved to December 24, December 27 and December 31.

People are reminded that any Christmas wrapping paper which contains foil or is covered in glitter cannot be recycled and should be placed in the grey bin.

Plain Christmas cards can be placed in the blue bin for recycling but any cards with glitter or foil on them should be placed in the grey bin.

Christmas trees can be recycled at any of the borough’s household waste and recycling sites which are open every day of the year except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
