More Details Announced For Town's Christmas Lights Switch-On

Wednesday October 29 2014

A TRIBUTE to Disney's Frozen will take place when the town's Christmas lights are switched on.

As we revealed last week, Stephanie Hirst and Noddy will take centre stage on Wednesday November 19.

Like last year's event, the switch-on is aimed primarily at young families, but kids big and small are invited to join in the fun.

It will take place at the front of Barnsley Town Hall from 5pm, with Dearne FM playing all the Christmas classics to get people in the mood for the festive season.

Four-piece boy band 404 will also be performing indie rock. Aged 12 and 13, the boys have already played a number of local gigs.

Mayor of Barnsley Coun Tim Shepherd and special guests, including a tribute to Disney’s Frozen, will assist the line-up at 6pm, followed by a fantastic fireworks display.
