30 Bags Of Rubbish Cleared By Volunteers

Thursday April 5 2012

A COMMUNITY clean up run by volunteers saw 30 bags of rubbish cleared from a footpath in the St Helens ward.

Local councillors helped volunteers with the Spring clean on the footpath leading to the Trans Pennine Trail, off Stoney Royd. As well as filling 30 bags of rubbish, they also had to clear an abandoned sofa and other household items that had been fly-tipped.

Further community clean-ups will be organised throughout the year.

well done great job, ...pity though that the actions of a few inconsiderate people caused this work in the first place.
