Friday October 10 2014

A BOOK will be launched this month telling the personal stories of the 130 Worsbrough men who were killed in World War One.

Worsbrough Fallen Heroes will be launched at Worsbrough library on October 17 at 11am on the eve of the centenary of the first Worsbrough man who was killed, Private John Kelly.

Coun Jenny Platts, cabinet spokesperson for adults and communities, said: "The book is a fitting tribute and recognition to each of the brave men who served in the First World War."
