Former Captain Could Make Oakwell Return

FORMER Barnsley captain Brian Howard could be on his way back to Oakwell.

The 31-year-old is reportedly in negotiations with the Reds, a club who he flourished with between 2005 and 2008.

Howard, an attacking-minded midfielder, scored 28 goals in 137 games during that spell and led the club to promotion in 2006, before controversially leaving for South Yorkshire rivals Sheffield United.
