MP: Arsonists Must Be Dealt With Severely

THE arsonists behind the fire at the ASOS warehouse must be caught and dealt with severely, according to a Barnsley MP.

Michael Dugher, MP for Barnsley East, said: "The police are currently treating the fire as arson. If this is the case, those responsible must be dealt with severely.

"They must be caught and face the full consequences of their actions. I appeal to the public to help South Yorkshire Police catch the perpetrators.

"Those responsible endangered the lives hundreds of local ASOS workers, caused a loss of business and an estimated £22 million of damage to an important local business and major employer.

"ASOS is an important business for our local economy in Barnsley, employing over 3,000 people who will need to be able to get back to work as soon as it's safe to do so."
